Job Title: Social Media Intern

Job Description:

This is a voluntary intern position for a dynamic individual who loves Caribbean carnival culture and music. You will work closely with the Creative Director to create engaging content for our social media presence, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, and connecting with audiences.

The main responsibilities are:

• Engages in social media presence creation on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
• Creates dynamic written, graphic, and video content
• Optimizes content following search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC)
• Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on our website, and encourages audience participation
• Works independently and meets deadlines
• Analyses and reports audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects
• Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content
• Works with the Creative Director to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
• Writes and distributes e-newsletters to subscribers
• Manages social media communications

You – the ideal candidate for Social Media Intern would have the following background:

• Current Marketing or Social Media Marketing (or similar) degree student or graduate
• Proven ability to create engaging social media graphic designs
• Enthusiastic & positive attitude
• Copywriting, proofreading and content writing skills
• Self-motivated to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Superior communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Prior experience with SEO and PPC
• Excellent level of English
• Very good knowledge (written and spoken) of French
• Good knowledge (written and spoken) of Japanese or Arabic is a +
